Review: Wife by Wednesday (The Weekday Brides #1) by Catherine Bybee

Blake Harrison:
Rich, titled, and charming…and in need of a wife by Wednesday. Blake turns to Sam Elliot, who isn’t the businessman he expected. Instead, Blake is faced with Samantha Elliot, beautiful and feisty with a voice men call 1-900 numbers to hear.

Samantha Elliot:
Owner of matchmaking firm Alliance and not on the marital menu…that is, until Blake offers her ten million dollars for a one-year contract. And there’s nothing indecent about this proposal. The money will really help with her family’s medical bills. All Samantha will need to do is keep her attraction to her new husband to herself and avoid his bed.

But Blake’s toe-curling kisses and sexy charm prove too difficult for Sam to resist. It was a marriage contract that planned for everything…except falling in love.

Review:
Samantha owns a matchmaking firm. To make things clear it is not about love, but matching the right clients and often it involves a lot of money. That is how she meets Blake. He needs a wife this weekend or he won't inherit anything from his father and it will all go to his annoying cousin. Did I mention he's a Duke.

After Sam presents a couple of possible brides, Blake swipes them of the table and makes her an offer she can not refuse. He wants Sam to be his bride. Normally she wouldn't do this, but she could definitely use the money he's proposing to take care of the medical bills for her sisters. All they need to do is not give in to the obvious physical attraction between them.

So they get married and pretty much immediately stop denying the attraction. Everything goes really well actually until some scorned lovers from Blake's past and a stipulation in his father's will might throw it all out of balance. Lots of emotions and drama!
I really enjoyed Sam and Blake's story. It's almost a modern day fairytale. Even though it is predictable, it was cute and so sweet. All the characters were very likeable and there were enough twists to keep it interesting.
