Review: Tangled (Tangled #1) by Emma Chase

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He'll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can't live without.

There has been a lot of buzz about this book and it's definitely worth it. Ever since the cover started popping up all over my social media channels, I was curious about it and added it to my TBR pile. Now I had the chance to start listening to the audiobook, which mostly isn't my thing, but this was brilliant. I did not finish listening to it, because to me that just takes too slow, I can finish the book in half the time easily. If you are not as impatient as me, this one of those audiobooks you must give a chance. Sebastian York is the narrator's name and his voice will simply captivate you.

I do not want to tell too much about the plot, because it's way more fun to figure out for yourself. Emma Chase wrote an epic story. Seriously there wasn't one thing I didn't like or at least I can not remember. Drew is marvelous, though he is a walking, talking cliché, but his actions back up his words. So what if he likes to sleep around, women throw themselves at him. So what if he's arrogant around the workplace, he's got the clients to back it up. This man literally has it all; the looks, the success, the money, the charm...

Kate though kind of throws him off his game. She is not exactly what he has encountered before. He is still very much convinced he will get her in his bed, it's just going to take some more work than usual. You see, Kate it seems actually doesn't want to sleep with Drew. They both work for the same firm now and mixing business with pleasure just isn't a good idea. No matter what obstacles she throws his way, Drew will not give up, ever.

Drew really is what makes this book worth reading. It's all told from his point of view and I can totally imagine that is the way guys thinks. Also it is so refreshing. Tangled is very much a love story, but with this twist that makes it unique. The things he says are very much straight to the point, which I like and these little 'tips' he gives us readers are to die for. Serious pretty much throughout this book I was smiling.

I really want to express how much I loved this story, but just can not find all the words for it. Give it a chance, you will love it, that's a guarantee. All you will want is more Drew!
